NYPD called to CB2 - outrage community NEEDS a hospital

I got this report!!!   This was sent to me.... Note:  The NYPD were cool and did not arrest anyone.  No one was trying to break the law but people wanted to be heard.  It is an outrage that the West Village and surrounding area have no hospital. Why are we bailing out banks but not a hospital that serves the community front line?

------ this is the info I was sent to me by Louis Flores -----

At last night's Community Board 2 meeting, they called the cops out on some angry citizens, but thankfully nobody was arrested. And then Brad Hoylman, who ran the meeting, silenced Yetta by forcibly yanking the microphone out of her hands and walking away with the mic. He didn't like what she had to say at the public meeting, and so he censored her !

Mike Bloomberg term limits deal ordeal was criminal in my opinion and ditto for defending BP.
Looks like Mike Bloomberg was wrong again but his attitude is he has more money than anyone else in NY so who cares!!!!!!!!!

NYC round-up Albany to NYPD tickets by Suzannah B. Troy

Dear Blog Readers:

There is so much I have to report from New York City today.  I am so tired so please keep that in mind! My YouTubes and blogging are my art.  Soho Journal picked up my YouTube questioning if Albany will actually have a historic shut-down and questioning if NYC will be thrown in to an official economic depression?

I have an amazing interview with a city council member, Dan Halloran that took over for Tony Avella when he completed his two terms on how NYC would be effected if Albany does not balance there 9.1 billion dollar budget crisis.

Today I posted two new YouTubes on Whole Earth Bakery and Kitchen which is part of an on going YouTube documentary I have been making about this Vegetarian health food store that existed way before the mega-store chain Whole Foods.  Whole Foods has two stores now in the Village and I had contacted them to please help Peter after his Mom died by literally taking the little store in to their new big store on Houston street, like Noah took 2 of each animal since our small businesses were sinking faster than the Titanic.  Needless to say, Whole Foods said no. In the first YouTube we show talk about Mihoko Hakata, an deeply caring person devoted to research and work regarding a sustainable community where the community can define and cultivate what is important to the community. She and her friends are working with people at Harvard University and I show you part of a letter that she submitted to a professor.  Also very moving is the art work she made so long ago of Peter and his Mom, Filomenia Silvestri who died at age 94 knowing her business she started with her son in 1978 would not be evicted and the community fought and won a small battle for this much loved Mother and Son small business dedicated to Mother Earth. I

n the next YouTube You will see a community activist named Paul who tells us yet again how he help Peter fight eviction raising 800 dollars Peter so desperately needed.  This YouTube is short and superb and I mention the devastating long effects of the horrific oil spill in contrast to deed's like Paul's which I believe have long range positive effects.

Lastly I interview Karen who is part of another YouTube documentaries series of mine.  She has a table with flea market items and she worked outside of Love Saves the Day until they were forced to close. In this YouTube she talks about the NYPD traffic division being out of control and apparently this is a hot topic with New Yorkers.

What do all of the above topics have  in common? They are all about the people of New York being screwed for a lack of a better word. No wonder Mike Bloomberg and the city hand out free condoms that say NYC on them!

Soho Journal picks up Suzannah B. Troy's art YouTube on Albany shutdown and Depression?

True Blood + NY Politics True Nightmare by Suzannah B. Troy

If you have HBO which costs bucks than most likely you will be tuning in to see True Blood tomorrow night.  Alan Ball has another huge tv series sensation following on the heels of Six Feet Under and I expect an extremely high viewing audience will tune in to for this season opener that has received excellent reviews although also warnings of lots of blood and werewolves.

Last season became just way too gross for me but this season sounds great so I will tune in.  I tried reading the books but they could not compete with Alan Ball's magic.  The actors are excellent.  I just can't stand all the graphic violence and special effects.  I prefer to use my imagination.   Alan doesn't allow you to use your imagination illuminating some very beautiful men and women's naked bodies.

Now on to a free horror show for anyone interested in New York.  From Albany to City Hall it is a disaster.   Mike Bloomberg is like Chauncey Gardener in Being There played by Peter Sellers but in Mike's case, Mike is above average intelligence and so bland in contrast to all his over powering attempts to control the media presenting him as anything other than what he is -- in my opinion a criminal.  What?  Yes.  He pushed through a third term denying us, the people a referendum.  He pushed a reckless tsunami of community crushing development displacing countless numbers of people and small business and on "old" NY's infrastructure which is collapsing and exploding not to mention all the construction accidents. Reckless, stupid and greedy as what caused Wall Street to implode.  For more scandals you will have to go to my blog Mayor Bloomberg King of New York and visit my YouTube channel Suzannahartist.

If I have not painted enough of a nightmare than tune in to my new YouTube because Monday we will find out if the clowns of Albany force a historic shut down of Albany which in could theory throw us in to a depression and some New Yorkers are already living in a depression.

For a true nightmare you can watch for free tune in to New York Politics....If you have HBO and want even more violence and lots of nudity take a break and tune in to True Blood.  I hear the season opener and this new season is a winner.

NY1 showed water main break 3 years ago - still a disaster 2nd Ave. 7th Street

http://www.ny1.com/content/69978/east-village-water-main-break-leaves-thousands-without-water In my opinion Cooper Union's mega sized studio build caused this medium size water main break that looked like the East River came to 2nd Avenue. You can see a diverse group of East Villager including me interviewed.

The intersection still has not healed and is as dangerous as hell.

There years and the city can't solve this problem. I photographed a custom street conditions car courtesy of the tax payers parked in front of the crater and the city gov worker no where to be found.

Also note 2 small businesses there are now gone. See my other YouTubes from around the corner for the streets being a mess for years and my blog for photos of the area looking like a bomb exploded with Con Ed workers camped out and Bloomberg had not right to push a reckless tsunami of development city wide catering to rich developers including NYU, NY Law, Cooper Union, Columbia U., Donald Trump and every reckless idiot that insisted on busting through our zoning and weighing way to heavy on our infrastructure. http://suzannahbtroy.blogspot.com/2010/05/nyc-gov-street-conditions-observation.html http://suzannahbtroy.blogspot.com/2010/05/gas-smell-st-marks-infrastructure.html http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-UbQ3rXCpo Mike Bloomberg's Streets of NY part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-UbQ3rXCpo part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuK8u8Pp7L4 Here a fire truck's front wheel falls in to a hole (infrastructure problem) in the street upper west sdie

Mike Bloomberg's money manger Steve Rattner may be banned by the SEC!!!!!!!!!!!!

The New York Times reports that the SEC is considering banning Steve Rattner, Mike Bloomberg's money manager as well as a huge democratic fund raiser along with his wife.. Remember Rattner stepped down from his job at The White House as Car Czar to supposedly spend more time with his family? I guess he considers Mike Bloomberg family because he has be seen at City Hall. Read on and tune in to my YouTube about this and related issues. Most people tuned in believe Rattner stepped down from his job at the White House because of these pension fund scandals.

If the SEC gets it's way this could hurt Steve Rattner's book deal. Joyce Purnick paints Rattner as golden in her phony bio on Bloomberg and side note does the same with developer Mike "Red Square" Rosen who has brought the Lower East Side the hideous ugly Red Square development with Lenin on the roof top while Rosen lives in the symbol of gentrification which was once a welfare building called the Christa Dora. Is sure helps to have friends at The New York Times when you are trying to sell your book and of course  yourself "brand" and saint.

Well, Rattner is going to have a harder time even with friends like Mike Bloomberg, the owner of The New York Times and Joyce Purnick who like Rattner use to work for The New York Times.

Listen to the revealing interview of mine with Michael White on "mayor Bloomberg off-shore mayor" and we talk about Steve Rattner ">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5zmHtdSZNw

Here I interview Clayton Patterson being fined by the City of New York on being fined for graffiti on his door vs. Mike Bloomberg's legalized graffiti on the steps of Grand Central Station. "> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7oQQarpO6U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbD1HWEV7g4   I would like to paint words on the steps of the public space aka Grand Central which states "Think Bloomberg".

Did you ever start to wonder if guys like Rattner and Bloomberg have gone just a little to far and need some limits?

They are not the most forthcoming and transparent of guys.
Yet Mike pushed CityTime which I renamed the tax payers Titanic.

Mike's Bermuda Trips to Cayman Island investments not forth coming +CityTime billion dollar scam to supposedly track city workers every move

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5zmHtdSZNw Mike Bloomberg "the off-shore mayor" Brooklyn Bridge Park, Governors Island to Caymans + Steve Rattner.
I wrote this in response to a comment on YouTube.

YouTube above has many links in blog posting exposing Mike Bloomberg. Mike wants to keep track of lower tier city workers with hand prints yet he sneaks out of NY, Friday morning to go to Bermuda. HIs connected consultants for CityTime, 2 who have worked for the City of NY & one I think is still employed at a very high level so that makes two jobs with no time clocks like consultants have no time clock and charge as much as 40,000 a month, one ex-city gov 1million for year
Make sure to read the blog link of mine on CityTime

Looking a Gift Horse in the Mouth? An Examination of Brooklyn Bridge Park in Terms of the Politics of Development, Part III
http://noticingnewyork.blogspot.com/2010/05/looking-gift-horse-in-mouth-examination_21.html

Please take the time to read Michael's expose and for me the way Mike Bloomberg has handled real estate and this ruthless tsunami of community crushing development as reckless and stupid as what brought the implosion of Wall Street is about the mayor wanting to do what he wants unchecked.

Steve Rattner thought he could do what he wanted to do unchecked and he has been busted.

Mike Bloomberg's CityTime is Tax Payers Titanic and most be stopped from being renewed this September

I called John Liu, New York City Comptroller and a thorn in mayor Mike Bloomberg’s side because like me and so many New Yorkers, we opposed Mike Bloomberg denying us, the people of NY a referendum.  This issue divided New York and seriously alienated the people so it was no surprise Mike Bloomberg barely won.
But that is not why I called and left John Liu a voice mail at City Hall here in New York City this morning at six a.m.
You see CityTime, an Orwellian Time Clock that was suppose to save the City of New York big bucks is in fact a sham and is on it’s way to costing tax payers a billion dollars.
Why would I be writing about this now?
The renewal date for CityTime is September 2010 and CityTime must not be renewed.
In fact CityTime must be investigated.   Why?
How did a program designed to save the city money go from under a hundred million dollar budget run out of control?  Well for some mysterious reason CityTime needs countless consultants averaging close to half a million dollar salaries and at least one was reported to get a million and he happens to also collect a city pension.
Read my blog postings and see also how SAIC, hired to over see CityTime has scandals on a Federal level as well.   I wrote this based on Ali Winston’s piece in City Limits from two years ago and an astounding series by Juan Gonzalez from The New York Daily News.

NY Blood Center Needs Blood donations

http://www.nybloodcenter.org/index.jsp I have a donor card some where that says "Gallons of Blood".  I have donated red blood cells which is quick for me -- maybe 10 minutes. I have donated platelets sometimes giving double donations because the nurse would give me a sad song about how much they needed them and I happen to be able to give double...story of my life... Platelets took me 50 minutes to an hour...a double obviously longer.  You have a needle taking your blood out and shunting it in to a washer type machine and the machine separates the blood and takes the platelets which looks yellow like straw. Here I am donating platelets. I have donated white blood cells twice. You go to the NY Blood Center you are taken to a more private section and for me it was two hours of being completely still with a needle in both arms. I am not one for sitting still. I am so proud to know I was part of a group of complete strangers have come forward to give to help complete strangers... the first a little girl with Non-Hodgkins and the 2nd time I did it for a Hispanic male in his 20's fighting lymphoma and again I am so proud especially in a city where rich people give with their check books and people that don't give, just take -- I gave -- two hours....each time and towards the end you get really cold...you really feel some vital part of your life force leaving... the kind nurse that spends two hours with you gives you blankets and warmed soft gels to hold to keep your hands warm. You can only donate white blood cells 12 times in your life and you do replenish them.

I don't donate anymore. Why? My lawyers, dear friends, activists, NYPD officers, medical doctors that know about what I have endured know.   It took a toll on my body. When you are traumatized your body gets flooded with adrenal and cortisol and you get stuck there --- there are all kinds of side effects and I have had plenty of them... I have been told by my MD who has been with me since my early 20's and my acupuncturist who tells me if energy is a bank account yours is on empty to not give blood but take care of me. So please donate blood because I have donated huge amounts over the years and I am just too tired and run down to do so.

Jesse James Nightline Ratings High - I don't think he is a racist but a big mess

I don’t believe Jesse James is a racist.  Here in NYC , I have seen photos posted by an elderly, grossly overweight white man of a middle aged African American  woman, homeless, poverty level, drunk out of her mind in the park  and with no tools or resources to climb out of her destructive cycle and worse has some white man with a camera photographing her topless out of her mind and posting on the internet -- in my opinion that  is racism,  misogyny and  a terrible double standard because I have seen that white man drunk and he had the luxury of a home to go close a door and he doesn’t want anyone to photograph him including without his shirt.  Jesse James hasn't done anything near as heinous as that.
It is easy to think James is a racist and he is flat out in denial or stupid to consider the Hitler gear as a joke.  It is no joke.  It is repulsive as is his treatment of his wife and everyone involved but is he the most hated person in the world?  Is he a racist or plain stupid?  When it comes to Hitler gear - I pick plain stupid.   No he is not the most hated person in the world or the brightest.  He is good at making motorcycle and lots of money.   The global audience  have their  lives and they are way too busy to think about him for more than a moment...he is “media fast food”, consumed, not digested and done with.
I have said and continue to say he will continue to do really well with his career.  After all his career is based on the bad boy brand.  He comes across as sincere at moments but if he himself admits he is a liar why would he suddenly find truth and clearly he is in denial.  Just his talk about the Hitler gear.  I don't think he should have done this interview right now but he did and the ratings were very good so all the power to him as long as it isn't white power.  America loves redemption but looking at his failed marriages before none of this is a big time shocker except that Sandra Bullock was clueless.
As I understand it, Janine was pregnant with Sunny when Sandra and Jesse started dating which was a huge red light  and James was not involved in Sunny’s life until she was 3 years old when Janine was heading to Federal Prison for tax evasion.  Maybe I am wrong but that was what I heard....

I feel most sorry for Sunny because she has been through too much too soon in her short little life and hopefully Sandra Bullock will stay involved in Sunny’s life.

Janine and Jesse has two things in common.  Sunny their child and the reality they both have to work on their lives, as we all do, but if not for themselves than for Sunny and their kids from other marriages as well.

Note: I think Janine is self-destructive and has to come to terms with her demons.  I also think there is something compelling about her and wished she could have been cast as the stripper in The Wrestler.  That way at the very end, when Randy the Ram, Mickey Rourke is talking to her before he goes in to the ring, you would have to think, wait Randy don't do it.  Janine would have made that scene before he walks out just rip!    If Janine could clean up her act, I could see her crossing over in to main stream film.
I keep predicting James will be married again because he is they marrying kind and the marriage I predict will be open because I don’t see him being faithful.  What ever he has been doing has aged him and clearly has not been agreeing with him.  He looks much older and he may go the Hollywoo-woo way of getting some surgery to make himself look younger or do a radical change in what ever he has been doing but he looks like hell for now.  Not a poster boy for bad boy  who makes deals with the devil as in  Oscar Wilde's Dorian Gray but a warning to guys the bad boy life style is not all it's cracked up to be.

James has a following that love him and his family and a successful career...I am sure more drama to come.
“Jesse James The Brand” will continue on with success despite his repulsive misdeeds and  Nightline’s ratings are proof.  Just most women would not want to date him not that will in anyway change the number of enthusiastic women that will continue to hit on him because in the biker bad boy world it is no big deal.
I write about this because I know people are interested but I am gearing up for a “grown-up” piece on NYC politics that I am far more excited about coming to you soon.

"Our Bodies, Our Mind" A Film by Rebecca Alvin thoughts on this and sexual politics, why you should see the film by Suzannah B. Troy

Note: Before reading know I have been harassed and cyber stalked and it also involves sexuality -- sexual harassment so I have installed a tracker that helps me to see information on who is visiting my blog.  I have forwarded the unusual emails and comments to the NYPD.  Enjoy reading.

“Our Bodies, Our Mind” a film by Rebecca Alvin
Why you should see this film, a a piece on sexual politics and NY politics as well written Suzannah B. Troy artist and activist NYC
I wanted to talk film as a canvas to express my anger and frustration geo-sexual politics, a term I made up to say we still ain’t equal.
Since writing this piece Mike Daly wrote an article about a serial killer being caught by a tenacious NYPD Det. years after the murders and one was a woman who was a prostitute.   The serial killer was already behind bars but this NYPD Det. was able to prove that this monster was indeed responsible for her murder as well rather than shrugging her murder off because she was a prostitute and had a record. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_crime/2010/03/25/2010-03-25_good_cop_never_gave_up_on_cold_case_brings_charge_in_81_bronx_slay_of_hooker.html
I believe this is the exception rather than the rule but I do praise the Det. and  Daly for recognizing her value as human being.   Here is the piece I wrote below.
You can rent this documentary from the ITunes Store on line, purchase it directly from the film’s website or check your local video store but definitely find some way to see this important film.  Rebecca Alvin interviews porn stars, sex workers, dancers, and a woman that owns a sex store that caters to women and all the women interviewed are empowered, courageous people with insights on sexual politics.  I made a term up years ago, “geo-sexual politics” meaning world sexual politics and I bitterly joke it means “we ain’t equal.”  The women have been ground breaking in their attitudes which are extremely positive and they openness has helped but clearly we have a long way to go.
The film was released in 2001 but has many montages of what I call “seedy old New York City” that now has been “cleaned up” and  shifted to the outskirts as much as possible although the  small club in Tribeca  Alvin refers to in the beginning  of the film probably still exists.  Alvin narrates the film and points out when she visits this strip club her friend works at,  she did not see the women being degraded but powerful women in control of the men.  In fact the men know this and try to regain control and feelings of power by putting dollar bills in their thongs.   I remember a friend told me her girlfriend worked there and named some big stars that would often pay visits.  What has not changed is the attitudes and prejudice against sex positive women, not just sex workers.  More on this later....
The film maker briefly touches on the line between the women in the sex industry and I guess women like me and her, who are not in the industry but fascinated by women that are.  We are not alone because Hollywood has been intrigued with the industry as well known for being patrons.  I provide a long list of Oscar winning actresses who played the role of prostitutes and it is very long.
Returning to “Our Bodies, Our Minds”, one of the most animated women interviewed by the film maker is Carol Leigh who defines herself as “sex worker and former prostitute.”  Leigh coined the term “sex worker” in the 1970’s.   She was ground breaking being open and proud about being a sex worker and busting through barriers with in the feminist movement which at the time did not welcome prostitutes as equals.  Thanks to outspoken women like Carol Leigh, this has begun to change but to date violence towards women period not just prostitutes is not treated with the seriousness it deserves right now and here in NYC, 2010.    I can see it from the scandals rocking Albany right now with a top aid and personal friend of governor David Paterson accused of roughing up his girlfriend and the governor is implicated in the coverup.   Senator Hiram Monserrate was  accused of cutting his girlfriend’s face with a broken glass.  He claims it was an accident but Monserrate, an ex-NYPD officer, did not call 911 and is seen dragging her through the lobby roughly on his way to a hospital but not the closest hospital.  I was deeply moved by a video from two days ago  of protestors shouting “Women’s Rights!” at the ousted senator who tried to regain his office.   I fear these inspiring protestors including men are a minority but the good news is Monserrate is out.
I saw a young woman with black eyes who is a known heroin addict and has I am sure turned tricks for money as many homeless women do.   I am sure she did not seek help from the police regarding the violence she endured and it was not the first time.  The NYPD do not have accurate statistical data on violence towards women and girls because many will not come forward and not just sex workers but women that are financially dependent on men or fear reprisals.  In the film women state the police do not treat rape of a prostitute as a crime and in fact it is and the same for any physical violence  towards sex worker.  It must be addressed for what it is, a crime.    Just another irony with regard to Alvin’s film made in 2001 and the spousal abuse scandal that the present governor is implicated in. Paterson would not be governor if it wasn’t for a sex worker name Ashley Dupree and former governor Spitzer’s predilection for prostitutes.
Priscilla Alexander, editor of Sex Work & Prostitution points out women are all  treated like sex workers in the sense that society condemns the sexual woman.  Society wants you to be closer to Mary rather than Mary Magdaline.  You have to prove you are closer to Mary.
Nina Hartley one of the most enduring porn stars and most articulate as well says in the film,  “If I won’t do it for free, I won’t do it on film.”  She says that is why she never burns out.  Nina Hartley is an exhibitionist.  She loves turning people on.
Carol Queen is a sexologist for  Good Vibrations which is a sex store which caters to women with books and videos which also supports women writing and making movies. Carol also shows you a history of vibrators which was funny.  She also shows you the words largest collections of dildos.  She also shares insights and stats on sex toys including one that is very popular and you might be surprised what it is and who wants to use it.  I won’t tell you.  You have to watch the film.
Not in the film but very current in NYC is sexual McCarthyism with the Babeland Stores that I believe were inspired by Good Vibrations  both being  raided and are no longer allowed to rent videos.  By the way, many of the DVD’s where educational films as well as adult entertainment catering to female audience.   Babeland can sell porn movies but not rent them.   Welcome to NYC in 2010.  Mae West was truly from the future.
Rebecca Alvin interviews other porn stars, dancers, peepshow performers and a dominatrix share their insights.  Siobahn Brook, is a stunning African American peep show stripper turned activist who fought and helped form a labor union for her co-workers.  She also talks openly about racism she encountered while performing.  Brook points out that now there are different types of  feminism  in contrast to the original concept of feminism.
You will learn so much from watching this film including film maker Alvin pointing out Hollywood’s fascination with sex workers and dancers with such film as Pretty Woman, Exotica, Strip Tease and a personal favorite of mine Klute, starring Jane Fonda and Donald Sutherland.  Here is an article from The Wall Street Journal http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123507596209225865.html  about Marisa Tomei stripping her way to a possible Oscar in the film, The Wrestler.
There is no doubt that Hollywood and the men that makes the films as well as star in them are fascinated by sex workers...
In fact here is an entire list from this website I found:

Best Supporting Actress Oscar Winners: Prostitute Roles
A large number of actresses have won the supporting actress Oscar for portraying hookers (girls of the night, party girls, whores, call girls, madams, etc.) or loose women (mistresses, promiscuous ladies, etc.), for example:
  • Anne Baxter won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar as a thrown-away woman who turned to prostitution after the car-crash death of her husband and child in The Razor's Edge (1946)
  • Claire Trevor won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar as a faded, torch-singing floozy turned into a gangster's alcoholic mistress in Key Largo (1948)
  • Donna Reed (playing against type) won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar as a sailor port 'club' hostess in From Here to Eternity (1953)
  • Jo Van Fleet won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar as a wizened madam and James Dean's estranged mother in East of Eden (1955)
  • Dorothy Malone won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar as a wild, frustrated, and seductive nymphomaniac in Written on the Wind (1956)
  • Shirley Jones (also against type) won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar as a vengeful prostitute in Elmer Gantry (1960)
  • Mira Sorvino won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar as a bubble-headed prostitute in Mighty Aphrodite (1995) - in the same year, two other nominees for Best Actress also played prostitutes: Sharon Stone for Casino (1995) and Elisabeth Shue for Leaving Las Vegas (1995)
  • Kim Basinger won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar as a Veronica Lake-look-alike hooker in L.A. Confidential (1997)
  • (Jodie Foster was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role as a young runaway prostitute in pastedGraphic.pdf Taxi Driver (1976))
The women in Rebecca Alvin’s film “Our Body, Our Minds” are not victims.  They are using sex in some way to gain economic power and earn a better living than they could waiting tables.  The film will entertain and educate you.  Issues about violence towards women and stats on sex abuse are also touched upon but this is not a black and white film. These women are activists that talk about their rights and their voices which counts and they are correct.  There is no doubt prostitution needs to be legalized and this could help prevent violence, abuse and exploitation against sex workers.
I do not tell you everything about this film but it  will raise your sexual IQ and make you more aware of misogyny if you are not aware already as well as changing your views on sex workers and entertainers in the adult industry.  (Note: Nina Hartley released a book after this film which is worth checking out if you really want to raise your sexual IQ http://www.amazon.com/Nina-Hartleys-Guide-Total-Sex/dp/1583332634). Nina Hartley's Guide to Total Sex
Candida Royalle porn star turned film maker with her own film company Fem production catering to porno for women viewers  sums it up this way.
After a contentious  relationship, her father finally came to terms with what she did for a living.  Many years later he said, “With all the things people do in this world, politicians, how the industry pollutes the air and water we drink , and politicians lie, people kill and all you are doing is bringing pleasure to people’s lives. You have nothing to feel ashamed of.”

Mr. NYC blogspot.com's interview with Suzannah B. Troy

http://mrnyc.blogspot.com/
I am so honored and I have to laugh because here I am at the street sign ceremony for Jane Jacobs and if she was alive she would have given Christine Quinn hell!!!!!!
On the text portion below are links to articles including a killer one by Benjamin Lesser exposing Christine Quinn taking kickbacks aka campaign contributions from developers along with other city council members. You can find the interview with Mr. NYC above and he loves New York passionately like me and you too! Please check out his blog and if you want to see me screaming at Christine Quinn she ain't no Jane Jacobs check out my Youtube below. I am wearing my recession bikini top for 6 bucks.
